We are taking applications for the 2024 season. There's no "easy job" in the greenhouse. It's hard work, physically demanding and you'll get dirty. You'll also have a lot of fun & learn a lot.

OUR STORY
We opened the first greenhouse in the Spring of 1992 in Dana, IN. We started out selling annuals, perennials, and fruits and vegetables. We continued to grow and began seeding the majority of our own inventory. In 1995 we opened our first greenhouse in Clinton, IN and quickly outgrew that space. In 1998 we moved to our current location right off SR 63 and SR 163 where we now maintain our front seasonal house, 7 full greenhouses, a seed house, and a full garden. We have 31,484 square feet under poly which makes us one of the largest growers in Western Indiana!
Every year, we are known as the place to find whatever you need. As one customer said, "If Nelson's doesn't have it, you don't need it!" We take pride in carrying quality plants as affordable as the big box stores.
As always we grow chemical free and use only organic fertilizer on all our food-producing plants.

INVENTORY
Annuals:
Ageratum thru Zinnia! We carry Proven Winner plants and we are an exclusive Burpee Grower
Vegetables:
32 varieties of tomatoes from seedless to 3-lb tomatoes, 19 varieties of hot peppers to include the four hottest peppers in the world, 17 varieties of sweet and bell peppers, 20 varieties of hot peppers, asparagus, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, brussels sprouts, okra, kale, eggplant, rhubarb, lettuce, spinach, several varieties of squash, potatoes, onion sets, onion plants, sweet potatoes, 6 varieties of cucumbers, and new this year, collard greens!
Also patio and hanging basket cherry tomatoes.
Fruits:
Watermelon, canteloupe, honeydew, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, goji berries and grape vines.
Herbs:
Cilantro, thyme, oregano, basil, chives, peppermint, pesto, sage, rosemary, lavender, parsley, dill, stevia, spearmint.
...just to name a few!
Mulch:
Mulch is sold by the cubic yard. This will cover approximately 10 x 10 square foot three inches deep.
